Course Description

The goal of this course is to help drone pilots gain an understanding of the 12 areas of knowledge listed in 14 CFR 107.73.

You want fly your drone commercially. Now you can, by passing the FAA's Remote Pilot Certification test. And the Drone Professor's video lessons can help you get there.

You can pay more, but why? Tim Trott's students are passing the FAA exam: 12 video lessons, less than two hours long, with the essential information you need to pass the test.

FAA has said that preparation for the Part 107 exam should take 20 hours of study. This compact but easy-to-follow course is complimented by download resource materials for your additional review and study. By watching the video course and reviewing the study and reference materials this video course can provide the basic framework and resources you need to complete that preparation in half that time.

Part 107 spells out 12 areas of study necessary to pass the exam:

  • Section 1 FAA Regulations Relating to UAS Operation
  • Section 2 Airspace Classifications
  • Section 3 Official Sources of Weather
  • Section 4 Small UAS Loading and Performance
  • Section 5 Emergency Procedures and Reporting
  • Section 6 Crew Resource Management
  • Section 7 Radio Communications Procedures
  • Section 8 Determining UAS Performance
  • Section 9 Effects of Drugs and Alcohol
  • Section 10 Aeronautical Decision Making
  • Section 11 Airport Operations and Charts

For the future commercial remote pilot, this training course represents a very good value for a small investment, or as one of our students put it “a tremendous bargain”.
